The Spark Story

Our story is straightforward —a testament to American grit. We’re not flashy; we’re real people who spotted a need and came together to solve it.

Like the best stories, it all began with a conversation among friends. Corey Ferengul, a Midwesterner at heart and accomplished angel investor from Chicago, recognized Arizona’s untapped potential. He shared his perspective with Marc Kiven, another Midwesterner skilled operator and investor, an ASU alumnus but new Phoenix resident. Marc’s response was immediate: “You need to meet Jessica.”

Jessica Pacheco, a long-term Arizona resident and immigrant from Brazil, is a powerhouse in the state’s civic, business, and startup scenes. A devoted champion of Arizona, Jessica instantly connected with the vision. Her first call was to Jenn Daniels.

Jenn, former mayor of Gilbert and one of Arizona’s most innovative leaders—as well as Jessica’s business partner—brought strategic insight and operational discipline, helping turn Spark Angels from an idea into reality.
